No. An applicant organization that meets the eligibility requirements and has programs that fall within the Foundation's areas of interest may submit a Letter of Intent.
Where does the Eden Area Foundation get funding to support its grant-making activity?

The Foundation grants have ranged from $1,000 to $30,000. There is currently no set limit.
Who is eligible to apply for a grant?
To be eligible for funding, an applicant organization must be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, provide services to residents of Alameda County, include a significant representation of Alameda County residents on its governing board, and have an annual financial audit in accordance with approved accounting practices. The Eden Area is located in central Alameda County, California, and includes the incorporated City of Hayward and San Leandro as well as the unincorporated areas of Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, and San Lorenzo.
