“I want to express our deep appreciation for Eden Area Foundation. The grant gives us vital resources to provide emergency shelter, transitional and permanent housing, as well as case management, mental health counseling, life/job skills, classes/referrals, and children’s programming. Again, we thank Eden Area Foundation for supporting families moving from crisis to stability, ending their homelessness, and finding a place called home!”

“Eden Area Foundation has been a loyal supporter of the Emergency Shelter Program (ESP) for many years – this has been extremely helpful during the economic recession that negatively impacted our Agency as well as other service organizations. Its support over the years enables us to provide preschool stipends to low-income families of the Harder-Tennyson neighborhood in Hayward and most recently to the 150 or more children we serve annually in our homeless and domestic violence shelter. It has helped facilitate parenting classes that prevent future child abuse and aid children to recover from the trauma of involvement in domestic violence. Its on-site visits have had a positive effect on staff morale as well. We appreciate Eden Area Foundation’s attentiveness to our staff and program needs. Eden Area Foundation grants have made a difference not only in the lives of these women and their children, but also in the sustainability and success of our 40-year-old organization. We thank Eden Area Foundation for its continued support.”

“Eden Area Foundation has generously supported Spectrum Community Services Senior Meals Program since 2006. Over the years, the funding has helped us serve over 70,000 nutritious, hot meals to roughly 1,400 low-income seniors in the Eden Area. These meals not only provide the seniors with a delicious, balanced lunch, but also with an opportunity to socialize with other seniors in a warm, welcoming environment. This meal program is essential to the residents of the Eden Area, and Spectrum could not reach as many seniors as we do without the continued support of the Eden Area Foundation. We are most grateful for Eden Area Foundation’s commitment to the fundamental service we provide.”
